Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious Mascara

At the start of the week I was browsing Superdrug' Website, looking for new releases when I came across this mascara! I didn't even know we were getting it over in the UK?? & to add to my surprise they were on a 2 for £10 offer instead of £9.99 each!. I ran *drove* to snap them up for research purposes of course... (definitely not the pretty packaging!) I have never been drawn to Revlon for Mascara, I own more L'Oreal or Maybelline I'm not too sure why that is really?
They are advertised as Spellbinding Volume. Supernatural Length. Magically transform lashes to lush, long and lustrous. A potion with strengthening proteins drenches lashes for volume. Triple-groove wand combs through for clump-free length.
I got mine in Black Waterproof & Black/Brown, I have used them 2-3 times since I got them and so far I am enjoying using them!
Texture and consistency:  This formula is not too dry and not too wet, It's a thicker formula, but it clings to the lashes easily. It is pretty clump-free, Once this mascara has dried, it is not brittle or crispy, it stays very soft and pliable after it has set.

Brush: Because the bristles are dense but spaced far apart from each other, this allows you to easily coat your lashes. I like this brush a lot, because it feels like you're getting product on all sides of your lashes with very minimal effort.

Application: The formula is just the right consistency and because of the brush as described above, I find application very easy.

Staying power: It lasted pretty well, I've not tried my waterproof one just yet but this one went on & lasted a good 8hrs? I did notice a little flaking but nothing drastic.

Removal: Considering that this mascara stays quite soft and pliable on the lashes even after it dries, removal was extremely easy. I am able to remove this mascara quickly and easily with my usual nightly face cleanser.
FINAL VERDICT: Adorable packaging, Great brush, easy application, decent volume, I love the consistency and colour pay off - Very Black! I'm also satisfied with the level of volume this gives my lashes (not dramatic, but good enough for daytime wear). I'm looking forward to trying the Waterproof to see if the longevity is better & hopefully no flaking! If like me your not a fan of flaking then I'd just go straight for the waterproof version.

Foundation

When choosing your Foundation for your Perfect Day there are a few things you need to consider, it needs to be natural looking, have good Longevity, be a perfect match to your body.... Don't be shy go to a few department stores & ask for some samples (That's why they have them) and test them out over a day or two, take photos of yourself outside in natural light to make sure you don't get flash back from the SPF or that it doesn't oxidise throughout the day... as I'm sure no one wants to look like a Casper the Ghost or an Oompa Lumpa in their Wedding Pictures!
Clarins Everlasting Foundation offers 15 hours of impeccable coverage and total comfort. Formulated with a "high-fidelity system," a light, invisible veil sets your foundation, leaving it looking perfectly even, and gives a long-lasting wear. There are so many different foundations all offering something different, just sample, sample, sample until you find your perfect texture, cover & result! But If your not a fan of medium to full coverage foundations try a BB or CC cream I love Pür minerals CC Cream, Dior BB Cream & Liole BB Cream the provide lovely coverage that will even out your skin tone whilst still looking very natural.

Also like I said in my Primer Post, if you splurge on a great primer you could get away with wearing a Drug Store foundation as there are some fantastic ones out at the moment that are under £10.00!

My current favourites are: Bourjois Healthy Mix, Rimmel wake me up, Revlon Coverstay.

Sleek lip Palette in Ballet & Siren

Sleek Lip 4 is a colour rich lipstick quad with different formulations including matte, gloss and satin finishes to create a variety of looks. 6 palettes in the set to suit all skin colours and tones. It also comes in a Handy travel size component with lip brush and mirror included

This palette has four nude shades: Tutu is a light peachy nude with a glossy finish. Plié is a brownish pink nude with satin finish. Swan Lake is matte that feels powdery on my lips. The formula is dry. Pirouette is a cool toned pink nude with satin finish.

All shades in this resemble concealer or dead lips! In my opinion. Except Pirouette! This is a pretty shade. However they dried out my lips badly especially the Matte & looked streaky, I’m not impressed with this palette & would not recommend!!
Kiss Me is a satin orange toned red. Miss Me  is a matte pale orange shade. Desire Me is a matte coral red very  pigmented. Love Me is a glossy pinky orange.  They are all pretty shades & great for Summer but they do have a tendency to melt really quickly, so be careful if it's a hot day!

I’m am impressed with this palette as the colours are more pigmented and for only £5.99 you can’t go wrong.  I love how there is a selection of different textures and finishes in the palette and I love the colour variety available from a Nudes to bright pinks to deep plums
I have had a good & a bad experience with these, but it hasn't put me off trying the other shades in this range, I love that you have a little compact with 4 different shades, perfect for travel. I also love the brand Sleek & own nearly all their Blushes as the quality is amazing.

Have you tried these palettes, which would you recommend?

L'Oreal Infallible Eye shadow in Eternal Black.

L'Oreal Infallible Eye shadow in Eternal Black

L’Oreal claims that this eyeshadow will be intense, sweatproof, waterproof, crease resistant, and will last 24 hours? This is Eternal Black–a midnight black with silver shimmers & I am in love with it! I am attending a Black Tie Dinner at the end of the month & want to do a smokey eye, I have been umming & Ahhing about buying Chanel' illusion d'ombre 'Mirifique' but didn't have a spare £24! Hanging around... So I began my quest for a cheaper alternative.... £3.86 from eBay... My post begins!
I really wanted something similar to the Chanel as I own 4 of them & love them, I had also heard rumours that these are very similar to Armani Eyes to Kill shadows.. I own around 6 of the Infallible admittedly over half of them are shades that are only available in America, I really like them so when I saw swatches of this stunning black shadow with Sparkle, it just looked stunning. I was going to buy from Boots but just thought I'd have a look on eBay & got an absolute bargain.. Brand new & sealed but £4 cheaper *happy Girl*
The photo's definitely do not do the product justice, In real life it is so sparkly & pretty, I wear it with a little of the Iced Latte in the corners of my eyes & brow bone with this over my lid & a little in my crease, giving me an instant smokey eye.

I think I am going to invest in a few more shades from this range as all 6 so far have impressed me, I wear with an eye primer & have had great lasting results & plenty of comments.
What's your go to eye products for a smokey eye?

Bourjois flower perfection primer

Bourjois flower perfection primer

The first step for a smooth and beautified complexion! This translucent primer evens out and refines the skin’s texture, visibly hiding pores, blemishes and fine lines, leaving the skin looking flawless. Its melt-in airbrush texture leaves the complexion silky smooth.

I love the packaging, that is one of the things that drew me to it, I am a sucker for small or travel sized products...The primer itself has a very light pink colour, but it is colourless once applied to the skin. The texture is really strange, it feels silky but powdery, once applied the my face it seems to melt into place.

It does make my pores less noticeable and my skin look and feel a better texture. My oiliness is managed better than with other primers I have used and my makeup does last longer than without a primer.

It can be used alone or before applying foundation to make its application easier and prolong its hold, It is Non-pore blocking, with an oil-free formula, Enriched with wild azalea flower extract to protect cells’ youth. It is £9.99 for 7ml. Which seems quite expensive but I only use a little bit & after a month of using it I still have 3/4 left.
Do you use a Primer, if so What's your favourite one?

Good Things Instant Dark Circles Concealer Light - Medium

Good Things Instant Dark Circles Concealer Light - Medium

I real enjoy using products that feature a cooling roller-ball applicator tip, As it really soothes my eyes & wakes them up in the morning, this is designed to cover dark circles and reduce puffiness in the eye area. The concealer contains raspberry to sooth and calm skin; lychee with vitamin C and potassium to support skin and caffeine to improve circulation and counteract puffiness.

Apply the roller-ball tip to the eye contour area and gently massage it around in little circles so the concealer emerges from the roller-ball. Using your ring fingers blend into your skin with delicate tapping movements.
It does cover my under eye circles & brightens but I fortunately don't suffer with too dark circles. I'm not sure if it is heavy duty enough for serious dark circles, but as it's a peachy colour it would be a great colour correction & moisturiser under your favourite concealer for extra cover?!
If you want to try it out, you can pick it up from Boots for £3.99 instead of £5.99 as it's on offer right now whilst I write!
What's your favourite under eye concealer?

Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder

Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder

A powder for all skin tones. This translucent powder* is perfect for that additional step in setting your look. Also great for that on-the-go freshen up you look moment. This translucent powder not only eliminates the need to match your shade, but is sheer and invisible on fair to dark skin tones. It helps cast away lighting and shine on your face along with diminishing fine lines and wrinkles & keeping my face Shine free from oil. Can I say PERFECT?!

Like most translucent powders, this appears white, but it quickly settles into a sheer, invisible powder. It has microparticles of shimmer that diffuse light, giving you a matte but not flat finish. Its light-scattering properties also result in a brighter complexion and minimizes the appearance of pores, lending a soft focus effect.
The top has pre cut holes for the powder to come through, but unlike other brands I've used, this one allows you to twist & close to keep the powder in, which means you don't waste half the product when you take off the lid Woo Hoo!!
This powder really reminds me of the Nars reflecting powder but at £18.00 for 18g compared with Nars priced at a whopping £25.00 for 0.24oz (6g!) you definitley get more for your money.
